![]() If that requires an add-on or something, is there an obvious one that does that? How do I edit the tool bar? Specifically, what I want is a button on the tool to open the History *sidebar* (not just the history button, which require me to then hit "hide/view history sidebar), just being able to hit a single button to open it like I did on classic (albeit perhaps with classic theme restorer)) and to be able to move/resize the buttons. (Which appears to have replaced, rather than been in addition to Waterfox classic, so apparently not going back now anyway *sigh*) And my 90-year old grandmother who in her last years could still just about use the computer, couldn't see the default text size, and when I complained to firefox they said "well, we'll fix that in the next release in a few months." Which was, for obvious reasons, not an option. *I forget which update it was, but they changed the user interface totally and there wasn't an option to change the text size. Help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. So what are my options here? Can I transfer my history and whatnot to another browser? Is the other branch of Waterfox going to work here? Or am I going to have just change to something else completely now, with all the enormous faffing about that will entail to my work-flow? (Which I could *really* not do with on top of every single other nthing at the moment.) (That last point was why I first moved to Firefox when IE stopping being plausible, and why I stuck with Waterfox when Firefox through teddy out of the pram*.) (I use that to keep track of stuff I've viewed, both for trivial stuff like youtube music videos and more important work stuff occasionally.) I want to be able to customise my tool bar, and I want to explictly be able to view my history in the side bar by date and website. The only add-on I believe I have is classic theme restorer. It means in order to do the work I wanted to do today, I am once again, going to have to fire up Edge (which happens to be the only back-up I have installed) and arse about. This is kind of a deal-breaker, for obvious reasons. The biggest hit was that I just before making this post discovered that Smugmug, my image hosting site (for which I pay a fortune) and which is absolutely integral t my work, is now telling me to get knotted. ![]() ![]() I use it, like, all the time, as in it goes on when I get up in the morning (or before) and is only closed down and night (and I work from home), so I have used it basically 12-18 hours a day-in, day-out, fo9r I don't know how many years.īut as of late, I have been finding more and more sites won't let me use them. There are issues installing bootstrapped addons, resulting in an "addon is corrupt" error message.I really hate to have to say this, because I stuck with Waterfox after Firefox basically burned their bridges, but it's getting harder and harder to use Waterfox.Addon version numbers are not displayed next to their title in about:addons. The status bar does not include default items (zoom, full screen, screenshot). There are now additional preferences in about:preferences#privacy.DNS-over-HTTPS is now disabled by default - you must opt-in if you wish to use it.You can now toggle to populate extension information in about:addons. When you open a "New Window", the address bar will now focus correctly.Modified "Recent Activity" settings will now apply.about:preferences no longer renders incorrectly in certain situations. Some issues when upgrading from G3 -> G4.The Waterfox Classic styled theme "Australis" is now available! You can switch to it in about:addons → "Themes".If you started creating new sessions and logins in G4 and would like to have them still used, you can type about:config in the address bar, search for and toggle it to true once more. In G4.0.1 it is now OFF by default and your previous G3 session will be restored. This privacy focused preference only allows cookies, cache and local storage accessible by websites on the same domain and creates a separate session to when it is disabled. This was due to the setting of First Party Isolation to ON by default. ONLY if you upgraded from G3 → G4.0.0, you may have had your login sessions on various websites unavailable.
